Merry Christmas!

The magic of Christmas has fallen upon us again.  The stockings were hung and the children were nestled.  And deep in the night the greatest gifts were left for us to discover.  Gifts that can only reside in our hearts and our memories.

Christmas morning arrived to bright-eyed smiles and the warmth of family gathered.  There were surprises and exclamations.  There was thanks given and joy felt.

The presents have now been unwrapped.  The toys played with.  Hugs have been given.  Good food has been enjoyed.  Games played and a movie, or two, watched. The day has been lovely.

Christmas is about family.  Christmas is about giving.  But most of all Christmas is about Love.  This evening, as we cuddle up together to enjoy the last bit of Christmas magic in this day, we will remember that love has come.  Our hearts are full.  And that is the greatest gift of all.

Christmas Time is Here

Christmas time is here
Happiness and cheer
Fun for all that children call
Their favorite time of year

Snowflakes in the air
Carols everywhere
Olden times and ancient rhymes
Of love and dreams to share

Sleigh bells in the air
Beauty everywhere
Yuletide by the fireside
And joyful memories there

Christmas time is here
We'll be drawing near
Oh, that we could always see
Such spirit though the year
Oh, that we could always see
Such spirit through the year...*

Snowy Woods

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

BY ROBERT FROST

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Introducing Wild Sweet Tea Photography

If you've been to this site before you know that I love taking pictures.  I love taking pictures as much as I love putting pretty words together on a page.  I've been playing with photography for years.
This year, I began to toy with the idea of pursuing photography in a broader capacity.  This year has involved a lot of soul searching and decision making.  Part of that search has been trying to find a way to live the life I want to lead as a mother, woman, and creative person.  (More on that later.)

So without further ado, I'd like to introduce

Here we go!

Last week I got the chance to do a lovely little session with my sister and her family.  They are beautiful, so it was an easy photo shoot.  We had so much fun!

Thank you to my sister for letting me use her family to debut this new little venture.  More information coming in the New Year.  For now you can message me for information and scheduling.  Thanks for the support everyone!
